We wish to bring the following event, which takes place this Saturday, April 1st, to your attention, and encourage you to come out, enjoy a fun day on the Ste. Anne’s Boardwalk, all while supporting a most worthy cause.
We are looking for volunteers to help out in collecting donations at different points of entry, and to hand out flyers about our organization, thereby encouraging new singles to attend our events.

We are offering a unique, trend-setting extreme event to raise much-needed funds for West Island Community Shares (WICS). CHOM will be running ads throughout the day over a two week period commencing March 20 – March 31, 2006.
Date: Saturday April 1, 2006
Location: Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue, Québec, along the boardwalk and inside/outside (Patio) Resto Bar Annies and Restaurants Basile and Marco along Ste. Annes Street
Time: Commencing 11h00 – 16h00
ALL EVENTS ARE FREE EXCEPT FOR WATERSKIING – Waterskiers are invited to raise money for WICS, however a $5 spectator DONATION at the door would be appreciated.
- The Lake Massawippi Ski Dogs, Canada’s only winter waterski acrobatic team and friends will challenge the winter with a series water ski performances.
- For $200 individuals can field a skier to slalom, wake surf or wakeboard for WICS dry suits provided by Total Diving and equipment for free.
- The public can ride in the official Magog Marine Gekko boat for $50.00 for two runs for WICS
- A Canadian FIRST, The Lake Massawippi Ski Dogs performed wakeboard flips, slalom and other chilly stunts generating over $48,000 in media coverage in the First Annual Waterski Chill-Out, February 24, 2002
FEATURED ENTERTAINMENT – Canada’s best Funk Music
Well-known Canadian funk jazz artist Slim Williams, hip hop sensation RLP and special guests will be performing throughout the day at Resto Bar Annies, the Waterski Chill-Out headquarters. Slim has shared the stage with Celine Dion, Joe Cocker, The Neville Brothers, Oscar Peterson, and Smokey Robinson.
